Works with the tools you already have.

How it connects
01

Point us to your public documents

Share links to your published repositories, portals, or PDFs. If a resident can access it, we can import and cite it.

02

We handle the import

Our team processes your documents, structures the knowledge base, and configures the assistant for your municipality.

03

One snippet, live on your site

Paste one embed code into your existing website. Works on any platform. Your IT team won't need to be involved after this.

04

Documents change, knowledge updates

When your published materials are updated, we keep the assistant current. No manual maintenance on your end.

We work with your existing stack. Not instead of it.

Local governments don't need another platform to manage. GovToKnow sits on top of what you already have: your documents, your website, your processes.

We add the AI layer. You keep everything else.

How it works

Your sources. Our pipeline. Their answers.

GovToKnow reads your published documents, processes them through our indexing pipeline, and delivers source-cited answers on your existing website. Your stack stays exactly where it is.

01

Your documents.

We read from wherever your content lives: Laserfiche, SharePoint, Municode, city portals, raw PDFs. No API keys, no backend access, no security exposure. If a resident can read it publicly, we can import and cite it.

You don't need to restructure your files or move anything. We work with what you already publish.

02

Our pipeline.

We index, chunk, and configure retrieval for your specific content. Every section is mapped so answers can be traced back to their source document. You don't see any of this, and you don't need to.

Accuracy is built into the architecture. The model is constrained to your documents only; it can't draw on outside knowledge or fill gaps with guesswork.

03

Cited answers.

Residents get accurate, source-cited responses directly on your existing website. Every answer links to the exact section it came from. When your documents are updated, the knowledge base follows with no manual work on your end.

Your IT team's only job is pasting one embed snippet. After go-live, GovToKnow runs on its own.
